Talk About Ingenuity!
So what happens if the trend toward higher global temperatures continues, and we find ourselves in a world being changed by rising sea levels, droughts, extinction of species - the whole pantheon of catastrophe that one could imagine? Not to worry! University of Arizona astronomer Roger Angel has come up with a plan which would effectively block a large enough percentage of the sun's energy to counterbalance the warming.

Global warming? More like political hot air. The climate HAS been warming-since the last ice age! Good thing, where I live the ice sheet was over a mile thick. People have no grasp of geological timespan, the last ice age ended about 7,000 years ago. This is the 4th climate "crisis" in about a century. Two have been cooling and two have been warming scares. What does it mean? Nothing! It's just weather. And you can't do a damn thing about it. If you think you can change the temperature of the earth, you are very arrogant. The atmosphere is much bigger than mankind and it's influences.
Al Gore did not invent the internet but he should get credit for inventing the global warming scheme.

What's wrong with some people? Do you guys think this is a media-invention? A "political hot air", as it has been claimed. Come on, here in South America we had no Winter. You'll remember and may be regret saying this is not true. And, for Peet, who posted on November 7, I don't mean to sound rude, but if you want to talk about politics, the you've chosen the wrong space to do so.
Bye, interesting blog!

The reason were in this Global Warming crap is because of POLITICS. Politicians used this idea " Global Warming" to attract voters, most famously Al Gore. Once again in one of my recent blog comments on "A New Global Warming" it is due to EL Nino, which causes the ocean's waters to warm, plus there is no such thing as to global temperatures rising, there is though such thing as to ocean's temperatures rising, and these vary from ocean to ocean and to location to location, but the ocean's temperature in the Gulf of Mexico are cooler this year than last years. Watch on the news this winter or next spring, and when we have a big winter storm the news will say, " Is this due to Global Warming", or "Was this Severe Weather Outbreak due to Global Warming." The answer is no, in my opinion there is no such thing as Global Warming. The answer is EL Nino, EL Nino, El Nino.

100,000 year glacial cycles are accepted facts. No argument there.
The relatively recent but rapid escalation of atmospheric anthropogenic CO2 emissions is having an observable and measurable impact on climate. We can't prevent the next glacial advance, but we could possible keep the climate comfortable for our children and grandchildren for a few more decades. Will we recognize that we can limit CO2 to make that happen?

im sure scientists and other people wouldnt be so concerned about putting politics right next to a global issue as if pretending something is happening when the truth is theres not really a thing to be worried about. i mean if this global warming is just an issue to gain wealth, politics popularity and the like why is it that almost everybody have observed its effects? i know that if its nature thats causing the problem then only nature can alter it and do something about it. but we all know that man has the capability to destroy this planet and also take care of it. man has impacted the world so much not only on the basis of weather change but to all other aspects. why would we reject the possibility today that man might be doing something nowadays thats altering the planet's weather? we have flattened the mountains, we have made some parts of the sea land, and we have transformed forests into agricultural farms; why cant we possibly change this planet's weather?
so for all you people who believe that this planet is going through an unwelcome change and dont think that man has something to do with it, i suggest you better think again

Hey Observer from NH, you don't think your grandkids might like more warm days to spend at the beach or on the pond fishing with Grandpa? Peeet got it exactly right. This isn't about anything, but a money grab.
And storm, climate change happens. There is nothing we can do about it. We'll adapt, just like the rest of the natural world will adapt. We always have.
The only reason Nasa is interested in this is because they see it as a way to get more budget money. Nasa should be done away with. It is time to put space development in the hands of private companies where some real innovation and cost saving s can be had. Nasa hasn't done anything useful or productive since the Apollo program. They only exist to suck more money out of us - like most of the government.

Co2 Does not drive temperatures. But temperatures drive Co2, and
temperatures are driven by flucuations IN THE SUN!!!
